“Automated Handling Time” is Amazon’s phrase for the maximum time permitted between when an order is placed and when it is required to be shipped, for Amazon orders fulfilled by independent sellers like NH Nootropics. This requirement is based on the average time elapsed between when previous orders were placed and when they were shipped by the seller. Automated “Order Handling Capacity” is Amazon’s phrase for how many orders they require an independent seller to ship in a day, and is based on the maximum number of orders a seller has packed and shipped on any single day during the previous 30 days. Both of these systems were made mandatory for most sellers in 2024, with some exceptions, but these exceptions have dwindled over time. As of late 2025 NH Nootropics has exhausted all known workarounds to these requirements which has paradoxically resulted in a need to extend shipping timeframes to remain on Amazon.

Because most products are purified, lyophilized, and individually bottled, they require more time and labor than comparable other products. To meet the new requirements, NH Nootropics can never ship any order more quickly than we would ever be able to ship a similar order in the future. For example, let’s assume NHN has 20 units of a product lyophilized and prepared one day, they all sell, and we ship all 20 that same day. Then, the following week, if another 20 units were sold in a day, Amazon would require NHN to ship all 20 units on the same day of order placement as well, even if manufacturing 10 of them would require another run through a lyophilizer, or a piece of equipment needed to be autoclaved first, and so on. Therefore, we are now required to hold Amazon orders back a few days before shipping to ensure that we can always meet a consistent delivery timeframe, even if that means the timeframe is usually longer than it otherwise would be.

Some peptide sellers have opted to use “Fulfillment By Amazon” (Prime) to avoid the issues associated with selling independently. In this case products are shipped to an Amazon warehouse and stored there until they are sold, then they are delivered by Amazon. However, per the program requirements, all these products must be able to withstand extended periods of up to 155 degrees Fahrenheit, in addition to uncontrolled humidity levels. These conditions are unsuitable for peptides and other research chemical storage. As it is, delaying shipping for Amazon orders is the only way for NHN to remain on the platform without sacrificing quality. Orders placed directly through this website will still ship as soon as possible, most often within one business day.
